AML POLICY
The exchange of digital assets through AR-KABUY is governed by principles of security, transparency, and regulatory compliance. As part of this commitment, the legal provisions of Mexican law regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) are strictly enforced, ensuring that all operations on the platform take place within the corresponding regulatory framework.
This policy outlines our guidelines and measures to prevent, detect, and report any attempt to use our platform for illicit purposes.
Customer Due Diligence
Recognizing the importance of knowing our customers, AR-KABUY implements rigorous verification processes from the very beginning of the client registration process. This includes the collection and validation of identity documents, proof of address, and relevant financial information. For clients who represent a higher risk—either due to the type of transactions they perform or their location in high-risk jurisdictions—enhanced due diligence controls are applied, including OFAC list checks for both identity information and the corresponding wallet.
The documentation required from the client includes:
- Valid official identification
- Current proof of address
- Wallet address to receive digital assets
The information required from the client includes:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Source of funds
- Whether the client is a natural person or legal entity
- Whether the client has experience purchasing digital assets
Transaction Monitoring and Analysis
We operate a robust monitoring system that analyzes user transaction behavior in real time. This system allows us to identify unusual or suspicious activities by considering factors such as volume, frequency, and nature of transactions. Alerts generated by the system are thoroughly reviewed by our specialized team, who will take the necessary actions, including reporting to the appropriate authorities in accordance with current Mexican legislation.
Recordkeeping
In compliance with legal obligations, AR-KABUY maintains detailed and updated records of all transactions conducted on the platform, as well as the documentation collected during the customer identification and verification process. These records are stored securely.
Staff Training and Awareness
Ongoing training of our team is essential to maintaining an effective stance against money laundering. For this reason, we provide regular training on AML regulations, detection of suspicious activities, and emerging trends in financial crime. This preparation enables our staff to act with sound judgment and diligence in response to any potential risk.
AR-KABUY reserves the right to modify, update, or supplement this policy at any time, whether due to regulatory changes, operational improvements, or updates to internal processes.
Any modifications will take effect upon their publication through AR-KABUY’s official communication channels. Therefore, users are encouraged to periodically review this policy to stay informed about its current terms and conditions.
